Aston Villa Revisiting Crest Design After Fan Vote

Aston Villa Football Club has announced it will be re-evaluating its crest design after a fan vote concluded. Over 21,500 fans participated in the vote, with 77% opting for the round design, 23% for the gas lamp design, and 8% voting to retain the current crest.
The current Aston Villa crest will remain in use for the remainder of the 2022-23 season, with the new crest scheduled to replace it in the 2023-24 season.
Fan Engagement and Next Steps
As part of the Fan Advisory Board meeting, Aston Villa expressed its intention to engage further with supporters to explore options for selecting a permanent new crest.
Club officials will be working closely with fans to gather input and ensure the chosen design reflects the club's history and values.
